Back in January, Michelle made the announcement that the first quarter challenge was up and ready! This go around the theme was Suddenly Spring and it featured this bracelet:
I knew immediately what I was going to create with the bracelet once I received it…
The blue had to be used to create an April Showers themed necklace. Off I went into the studio to hammer and saw metal to create the raindrops. Then of course I rounded up the other beads, which includes freshwater pearls, montana blue swarovski bicone beads, aqua and smoke swarovski helix beads.
In the end this is what was created:
While I was in my studio I also created components for two more necklaces using the remainder of the beads from the bracelet. Unfortunately I didn’t quite finish the other two projects, but don’t worry I will be posting them once they are finished.

Oh,oh,OH! I just love this! Because of where I live, I was thinking more of “heat” with my design and because we don’t get a lot of rain. But, this is just great! It would make me think of cool, cloudy days and a fine drizzle just begging for me to sit on the porch and listen to the rain hit the roof and plosh into the mud.

Love the raindrops. April showers never occurred to me during the challenge, April is in Autumn in Australia(lol). the length is perfect and I love the additional beads.
